stroke of midnight

Where were you last night when 2012 turned into 2013? Is that where you’d wanted to be?

At home. Eating ham (that homemade ham I ate on Christmas eve was far more superior tasting matched with a finger-lickin-good of a sauce). And Spaghetti. Munching danish cookies sent by relatives from somewhere out there. Slowly sipping cheap wine (I should’ve bought some flavored beer). Checking for random updates and unending “hello 2013″ greetings from Facebook and Twitter. Watching colorful exploding glitters of light on the night sky (hurray for free fireworks sent a-flying by wealthy neighbors!). A hug and a pat on the back by family.

There is no place like home.

Cheers for another year!
